Police are playing down reports of a gang brawl in Whakatane.
Rumours have been circulating of a death during the clash yesterday, outside a funeral director's premises.
Mongrel Mob and Black Power members were involved during a procession involving 10 to 15 vehicles.
It's being investigated as a disorder incident.
