Police say a 35-year-old-man wanted for a serious assault should be considered armed and dangerous and he should not be approached. Matthew Conchie is believed to be in the Auckland area.
He is 166cm tall with a slim build.
The assault happened in Auckland's Queen street at 11.45pm on June 12.
Police are asking for any information on his whereabouts, and have urged the public to call them if they see him.
