UPDATED 5.15pm A quick thinking member of the public has snapped a pick pocket at work .
The witness saw a man reach towards the pocket of an elderly man who was reading at the New Lynn library.
He took a snap as the pickpocket removed the reader's cell phone.
Police say, 40 minutes later, the same pick pocket took a wallet from an elderly man watching TV at a TAB in Henderson.
They've released the photo and security footage in the hope someone will recognize the thief.
