UPDATED 10.14am Christchurch Police are investigation a robbery that involved the use of a sledgehammer.  Police say two men broke into a bakery, by using a sledgehammer on the door, at about 1am overnight.  Emergency services were called to the Shirley Bakery, in Hills Road. They were confronted by a staff member, after targeting cash tills. The staff member was not injured in the incident, and it is yet to be established what was taken by the men.  In a release, the Police described the men as "tall Caucasian, wearing dark clothes and balaclavas."  Last week, three men in black hoodies and balaclavas robbed Buns Bakery on Ferry Rd at gunpoint.  On Monday morning, armed robbers held up two Christchurch pubs - the Embankment Tavern on Ferry Rd at 8.49am, and at 10.25am, O'Sheas bar on Marshland Rd. Several dairies and takeaway shops across the city have also been targeted in recent months. They are asking anyone with information that would help their investigation to come forward, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously.
