Four men have been arrested after large brawls involving sixty people in Tokoroa last night.
The four fights started just after 9pm and it wasn't until 1am that police managed to disperse everyone.
An 18-year-old boy was found unconscious on the road and taken to Tokoroa Hospital in a critical condition then transferred to Waikato Hospital, where he's stable.
Sergeant Sam Parata from Tokoroa Police says the fights, which involved people throwing bottles and cans, started after a party in Kelso Street.
He doesn't believe it was gang-related but says it was an alcohol-fuelled party, which got out of hand.
Parata thinks it was probably caused by gatecrashers.
Some of the men who were arrested will have to appear in court on disorderly and fighting charges. Others will be issued with warnings
